ABOUT US
We exist to empower credit-worthiness. That is our purpose, our passion, and our promise.
Vermont Consumer Credit Consulting (VCCC) traces its origins to the sphere of HUD-funded financial counseling. With a background in social services, the founder and CEO, Jonathan Goffe, began applying those skills at Opportunities Credit Union to assist underbanked consumers, improve their credit profiles, and mitigate defaulted consumer loans and mortgages. During the COVID period, Jonathan launched the company with the aim of reducing private clients’ credit barriers to loan approval or employment. By obtaining technical credentials to perform FICO model soft pulls, VCCC differentiated itself from competitors. Observing the underwriting reports lenders used, the company aligned mitigation strategies for lenders and borrowers.
VCCC was offered a one-time opportunity to access the API at a discounted price, enabling automation and the creation of pre-qualification reports. For the substantial task of building the CRM, developing the MAP algorithm (Multi Agency Preview), and creating the explainable AI (XAi) framework, Jonathan recruited Bernard Johnson, the company’s co-founder and CTO. Bernard has developed a fully functioning CRM designed to assist businesses, individual clients, and the internal consulting staff.
Jonathan and his advisors decided to create the name and logo of ClientVitals (CV) for the software division of the company, enabling easy nationwide integration into various financial deployments. With VCCC as the parent company, the organization remains firmly rooted in Vermont, maintaining a focus on local and state-wide solutions while exploring national opportunities to address pre-qualification barriers.
In August 2024, Wendy Biggs joined as business manager, and in 2025 she was elevated to the executive team as Chief Operating Officer. Wendy brings a background in corporate finance and law, along with extensive operations management experience, enabling her to integrate the operations needs of a growing business. Over the next eight months, the executives expanded their teams, and a dedicated group of 12 diverse professionals began collaborating daily.
Throughout 2025, the team worked with internal consultants, external advisors, and friends of the company to refine its path and goals beyond the CRM. This included the completion of the Alpha MAP algorithm, a refactor of the Client dashboard, and the framework for the XAi, CERA (Consumer Eligibility Resource Assistant). With these milestones reached, the organization is motivated to leverage its knowledge and experience to propel Vermont Consumer Credit Consulting to the next level.
